Our Sponsorship ProgramAt Ministries of Aides International (MAII), we are proud of our efforts to serve the children in Haiti’s disadvantaged communities. Our humanitarian organization was founded by Reverend Lucien Duperier in 1981. Ever since, MAII has been fully devoted to supporting the abandoned and needy children in northern Haiti. Our programs provide the basic needs that give children a supportive, safe and healthy home. In all our efforts, we seek to empower youths with dignity so that they can become engaged citizens. We support them as they gain a new, productive life as honored members of society. Thanks to the funds we have received from generous patrons like you, we have been able to build 8 schools in 7 Haitian towns. At MAII, we recognize that the problem of poverty is multi-faceted. We believe strongly in the merits of education, but we understand that, for students to make the most of their classroom experiences, they need proper shelter, nutrition, healthcare and emotional support. That is why we are committed to providing a continuum of services. In Port-Margot, we operate an orphanage that houses 400 abandoned or orphaned children. To bridge the gap between school and the job market, we have opened a vocational school for teenagers to bridge the gap between school and the job market. With the help of doctors, nurses, and volunteers, we organize annual health fairs that provide immunization, routine medical examinations, and health education to minimize the risk diseases like HIV and cholera. Ministries of Aides International is proud of our child sponsorship program We hope that you will partner with us to meet the needs of Haiti’s poor children. What seems to you like a small amount of money can make a world of difference in the life of a child. Every month we face the heartbreaking task of turning desperate children away. We simply do not have the resources to serve everyone. With your funding, though, you will give a child hope and guarantee him or her with a better life. |
